Social Blogging – Make A Presence

Your business blog is a place where you will post brief pieces addressing topics related to your products or services. However, blog posts aren’t mini advertisements. To give an example of how a blog can work for your business, let’s say that your business helps people manage their finances.

In that case, you’ll use your blog to post news articles related to financial management. At least, you’ll post a quick summary of such articles and your comments about them. When the piece is related directly to something you’re selling, you should include a link to your website that deals with that particular product or service as well as a link to the complete original article.

Blogs help your business site in a few ways. One is that you are generating links back to your main site, which helps boost your search engine rankings. But you’re also positioning yourself as an expert on topics related to your business.

And if your blog becomes good enough on its own, others will start linking to it – boosting your blog and your main business’ online profile and reputation. Finally, if your blog becomes popular enough you can also make money on it as a separate venture using Google Adsense and other ad placement services.

There are several free blog hosting services available, but currently WordPress seems to be the favorite, particularly among professional bloggers who don’t host their own sites. In addition, many social networking sites have blogs you can use. Set Up Your FREE Blog: http://wordpress.com/
